Hey π
v0.1.20 is here.
This release is about something I've had in mind since day one: do one thing and do it well.
Not everyone needs the full editor for every task. Sometimes you just want to mute a video. Or loop a clip. Or adjust volume with some fade effects.
So that's what this release is about.
π New Page: /mute - Silent Your Video in Seconds
Got a video that needs its audio gone? Now there's a dedicated page for that.
Navigate to /mute, drop your video, and export.
That's it.
No timeline. No layers. No decisions about what to keep or what to cut.
Just silence.
Perfect for:
- Removing unwanted background noise
- Preparing clips for voiceover
- Creating silent B-roll
- Quick social media edits where audio doesn't matter
Clean. Simple. Fast.
π New Page: /volume - Adjust Audio Levels & Fade Effects
Sometimes you don't need the full editorβyou just need to make a video louder, quieter, or add some fade effects.
That's what /volume is for.
Drop your video. Adjust:
- Volume level (0β400%)
- Fade-in duration (ease it in)
- Fade-out duration (ease it out)
Export.
Done.
Good for:
- Normalizing quiet recordings
- Ducking background music
- Adding professional fade effects
- Quick volume fixes without timeline complexity
The interface is stripped down. You see what you need, nothing more.
π New Page: /loop - Repeat Your Clip N Times
Need to loop a video? There's a page for that now.
Head to /loop, upload your clip, set how many times you want it repeated, and export.
No manual copy-pasting in the timeline. No math to figure out durations.
Just: "I want this 5 times."
Use cases:
- Creating background loops for presentations
- Extending short clips for social media
- Building seamless video wallpapers
- Quick GIF-style repetitions
The tool handles the stitching. You handle the creative part.
π― Why Separate Pages?
This is the first time I'm porting core editor components into dedicated pages optimized for specific scenarios.
Here's why:
The full editor is powerful. But power comes with complexity.
When you just want to mute a video, you don't need:
- A timeline
- Multiple layers
- Trim handles
- Export settings dialogs
You need a button that says "make this silent."
Do one thing and do it well.
These dedicated pages make common tasks faster and less overwhelming.
You're not fighting through feature sets you don't need. You're just getting your thing done.
This has been on my mind since day one. Finally starting to ship it.
π What's Next?
More focused tools like these.
The pattern works:
- Identify common single-task workflows
- Strip away everything else
- Make it ridiculously fast
Got ideas for what should get its own page? Let me know.
