Hey 👋
v0.1.19 is out.
This one’s been brewing for a bit. Audio knobs people kept poking at. A couple of visual annoyances. And some small buttons that end up being weirdly delightful to click.
Alright, let’s get into it.
🔊 Audio, Finally Under Control (Volume + Fades)
You can now tweak volume, fade-in, and fade-out on any video or audio clip.
No ceremony.
How it goes:
- Select a video or audio element
- Click the volume icon up in the navbar
- The side panel slides open with:
- A volume slider (0–400%)
- A mute button (for when silence is the answer)
- Fade-in duration (ease it in)
- Fade-out duration (ease it out)
Drag the slider.
Type a number.
Mash mute.
Whatever gets you there fastest.
Good for things like:
- Pushing music down under dialogue
- Rescuing quiet clips
- Making transitions feel less… abrupt
- Fades that don’t scream “cut here”
The range is 0–400%.
0 is nothing.
100 is original.
400 is loud (sometimes too loud, honestly).
🐛 Bugfix: Timeline Frames Behave Themselves
Video frames in the timeline now actually match the video.
Before: frames could be off, weird, or just lying to you.
Now: what you scrub is what you get.
Tiny fix. Big difference when trimming.
🔄 Flip Button: One Click, Instant Mirror
There’s a new flip button in the navbar. And yes, it’s as simple as it sounds.
Select an image, text, or video and:
- Click flip
- A small popover shows up with:
- Flip horizontally ↔️
- Flip vertically ↕️
- Click to toggle. Done.
Useful for:
- Fixing mirrored text (ugh)
- Selfie-cam videos
- Symmetry experiments
- That “wait, this looks better flipped” moment
It’s a small thing. You’ll use it more than you expect.
⚡ Playback Speed Controls
You can now change playback speed for video and audio.
Select a clip → click the speed button → adjust.
That’s it.
Handy for:
- Time-lapse stuff
- Slow-motion emphasis
- Making clips line up without chopping them to bits
- Just messing around (valid use case)
🚀 What’s Coming Next
On deck:
- Keyboard shortcuts
- Element grouping
- Snap / alignment guides
- More audio toys
No promises on order. But they’re coming.
