We've just pushed some sweet updates to the video editor that make it even easier to create awesome videos. Here's what's new!
GIFs Are Now First-Class Citizens đ
You can finally add GIF files as elements! Just upload your favorite GIF, click it in the assets panel, and boomâit's on your timeline. Works exactly like adding images or videos. No hoops to jump through, no conversion needed.
Whether you want to add reaction GIFs, animated stickers, or your own custom animations, they all work seamlessly now.
Drag Things Around. Resize Them. Easy.
We've made positioning and scaling super intuitive:
Quick visual editing: Just grab any element in the player and drag it wherever you want. Need to resize? Grab a corner of the selection outline and drag. It's fast, it's visual, and it just works.
Precision when you need it: Want exact positioning? No problem. Head over to the element sidebar panel where you can type in exact values for scale, x, and y coordinates. Sometimes you need pixel-perfect placementâwe got you.
Two ways to do the same thingâuse whichever fits your workflow.
Cleaner Menu Organization
We've tidied up the interface to make more sense:
Export moved to File menu: The download button felt out of place in the top bar, so we moved it to the File menu as Export.... Makes more sense, right? File operations belong in the File menu.
Top bar = element operations: The mental model is simple now. The top bar is all about working with your elementsâadding, editing, arranging. Need project-level stuff? That's what the File menu is for.
Sidebar for settings: No more dropdown clutter. The settings that matter are right there in the sidebar panels where you need them.
The Bottom Line
These updates are all about making the editor feel more natural and less cluttered. Add GIFs, drag stuff around, find what you need faster. That's it.
Give it a try and let us know what you think!
